Growing up, I always valued healthy living. I played sports for most of my life and when I wasn’t playing sports I was working out consistently. At a young age, I was taught the importance of eating healthy and being active, and I have carried these values with me throughout my life.
I’ve had a few health problems here and there even though I was doing most of the “right” healthy things. I ate incredibly healthy and worked out several times a week, yet I was struggling with some tough health problems for a 21-year-old. Through years of living with an undiagnosed chronic illness, I was able to educate myself on how the mind, body and soul work as one unit and how much of a role food plays in our lives. While I'm not claiming to have all of the answers, I sure have learned a thing or two and continue learning daily!
I started Don’t Fork This Up as a place where I can share healthy recipes along with tips that have helped me create a better quality of life for myself. Don’t Fork This Up is a play on words for “don’t f*** this up.” You’ve probably thought to yourself, “I can’t f up this diet” or “I can’t f up this workout plan.” (Trust me, I’ve been there!) But I’ve learned that no diet or workout plan can really f things up for you. All of our bodies are different and need different things. Listen to what YOUR body needs, and I promise, it will thank you.
Whether you are dealing with health issues, or you just want to improve yourself, I hope this website can be a resource for you like so many have been a resource for me!
